Elate Child Initiative
Elate Child Initiative (ECI) is a not-for-profit organization based in Nigeria, and is uplifting young people’s lives through inclusive and impactful programs. This NGO is engaging young people to promote inclusive child rights, fostering healthy lifestyles, supporting peaceful coexistence, and advancing social equity.
ECI is empowering youth to establish income-generating businesses and leveraging technology and artificial intelligence to address pressing challenges in climate change, healthcare, agriculture, economic growth, and research.

Societies with strong child rights systems not only enable families and communities to thrive but also help to ensure stable economies and countries. ICE works with partners and other stakeholders to improve children’s right to access basic needs of healthcare, education, nutrition, psychosocial, and all requirement for growth and the policies and legislation that support them so that our country can prevent, detect and respond to child rights threats —now and in the future.
How We Work
ECI works predominantly in the communities that are home to the vast majority of the people. Its mission is to serve humanity and improve lives – One person, One touch, Everyone, Everywhere.
ECI partners with governments, nongovernmental organizations, civil societies, community-based organizations, public and private sectors, academic/learning institutions, groups, and other agencies to advance its mission.
The work of ECI is based on the premise that all human beings are entitled to equal rights and protections. We focus on young people because this is a group whose ability to exercise their right to fundamental needs of Health, Education, Nutrition, Psychosocial, and Protection is often compromised.
Our work is informed by an understanding of population dynamics, human rights, and cultural sensitivities.
Where we Work
ECI is currently working in Benue State and focusing on the entire middle belt of Nigeria which comprises Benue, Nasarawa, Niger, Plateau, Kwara, Kogi, and Abuja.
